SUMMARY:Things To Do In November 2026
DESCRIPTION:Between now and the end of December 2026\, the Board will be working with our new management company on several important community matters:\n1. 2027 Budget and Reserve Study: Ridgewater is conducting a best-practice reserve study to assess the strengths and needs of our common areas and infrastructure. The findings will help inform the 2027 budget. \n2. Assessment Review: The Board will review assessments and determine any necessary changes. We strive to keep quarterly increases to a minimum; last year\, assessments increased by just $3 per quarter. \n3. Planning 2026 Annual Meeting: Our annual meeting will take place in December. More details will be shared as they become available. \n4. Planning Board Elections: Three Board positions expire at the end of December 2026: (1) Gerald Wesley\, President; (2) Cynthia Brown\, Secretary; and (3) Sean New\, Member at Large\, who completed Noah Halbert’s term. Although all three are running for re-election\, all three Board positions will be open to interested candidates. \n5. Establishing Residency Requirements: The Board plans to ask residents to vote on proposed changes to the CC&R declarations originally established by Mattamy. The goal is to consider protections related to the number of rental properties in the community and address concerns about investor-owned properties and their potential effects on property values and quality of life. Further information will be provided before any vote.
